My Journey to Healing
Struggling with Anxiety
For years, anxiety was a constant presence in my life. Everything changed when I turned 30 and welcomed my third child. It was as if a switch flipped in my brain, triggering anxiety attacks that seemed to come out of nowhere. Sleep became elusive as my mind raced with worries beyond my control. I struggled with digestive issues, accepting that this was my new normal. But I powered through, fulfilling my roles as a dedicated mom, volunteer, and employee.

A Turning Point
In 2016, I faced a significant crisis that led me to seek help through Al-Anon meetings. There, I connected with others like me—control freaks battling guilt and negative self-talk. I finally found my tribe and began the path to healing. By working through the 12 steps, reading Al-Anon literature, and meeting with my sponsor, I witnessed a decline in my anxiety and began to feel more hopeful about life.

The Impact of COVID-19
Then came 2020, a year that brought unexpected challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic shut down my church, work, and community—everything that brought me joy. I was astonished to see others seemingly unaffected while my anxiety surged, spiraling me into an overwhelming depression. The reality of prolonged lockdown set in, leaving me questioning the purpose of life. Sleep became even more elusive, eating was a struggle, and I lost interest in my favorite activities. Thankfully, supportive friends encouraged me to seek therapy, leading to a hospitalization that saved my life as I lost 20 pounds and my vitality.

Finding Hope Again
After a week of treatment and being home on medication, I resolved that I wouldn’t let this be my norm. Unsure of how to regain control, I stumbled upon Life Mentoring School on social media—truly a divine intervention. I connected with Dr. Edie on Instagram, whose story resonated deeply. I began participating in her online workshops, gradually immersing myself in the Life Mentoring School experience. I watched others receive coaching and engage in journaling and eventually gathered the courage to seek coaching for myself.
Through committed homework and focused self-work, I transformed. With Dr. Edie’s guidance, I confronted old wounds—many of which I had inflicted upon myself—and began reshaping my negative thought patterns. Within a year, I felt revitalized.
A New Purpose
Empowered by my transformation, I initially enrolled in the LMS certification program to equip myself with tools for staying mentally healthy. Yet, as I learned and engaged in coaching, a newfound calling emerged—I wanted to help others who faced similar struggles. Now, I’m thrilled to be on this journey with you, ready to support and empower you on your path to healing!
